Dr Campbell Schmidt is a specialist Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgeon with experience in all paediatric and adult ear nose and throat conditions.
Dr Schmidt graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours and the university medal before undertaking his surgical residency and a Master of Philosophy at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
His subsequent ENT speciality training saw him rotate through hospitals in South-East Queensland, including 12-months at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, before undertaking further sub-specialty training in head and neck cancer at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2023.
He then accepted a second fellowship post in microvascular reconstructive and robotic surgery of the head and neck at London Health Sciences Centre, Ontario, Canada. He is one of only a few QLD head and neck surgeons with formal fellowship training in transoral robotic surgery (TORS). Campbell has advanced training and a dedicated practice in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, having spent time with Professor Greg Randolph, author of the definitive textbook in the field. He also has a keen interest in optimising treatment for patients with facial nerve disorders and offers the full spectrum of facial-reanimation surgery as well as chemodenervation with Botox. Time spent with Dr John Yoo and Professor Tessa Hadlock, world experts in management of the paralysed face, furthered his training in this challenging field.
