Dr Shannon Withers

Dr Shannon Withers is an Australian trained Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. She studied medicine at the University of Tasmania, graduating with Honours, and completed her surgical training in Victoria. Dr Withers undertook further fellowship training in Ear and Skullbase Surgery including cochlear implant surgery through the Ear Science Institute Australia and Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in Perth. She has previously worked at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Dr Withers holds a teaching appointment at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Dr Withers teaches medical students, junior doctors and surgical trainees, and is a teacher for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons training courses.

Dr Withers treats both adult and paediatric patients. Her areas of interest are; perforations of the ear drum, cholesteatoma surgery, cochlear implant surgery, implantable hearing aids, stapedectomy as well as general and paediatric ENT.

Dr Withers is married with a young family.
