Dr Gareth Lloyd is the Director of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology at Queensland Children’s Hospital.
He is an accomplished ENT surgeon who specialises in paediatric conditions related to the airway, throat, nose, ear and hearing. He welcomes consultations for children and the entire family, providing comprehensive care and expertise.
Dr Lloyd graduated from medical school at the University of Nottingham (UK), where he also earned a First-Class Honours degree in Medical Sciences. He undertook higher ENT surgical training in London, honing his expertise at institutions such as the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Great Ormond Street, and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals.
His dedication to paediatric care led him to pursue further specialist training, completing a two-year fellowship at Queensland Children’s Hospital, focussing on the care of children with a broad range of ENT conditions including outreach services to regional and remote Indigenous communities.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Lloyd actively contributes to medical education, imparting knowledge to medical students, nursing staff, and aspiring surgeons. He has published on various otolaryngology topics and been invited to present at national and international conferences.
